Services is registered with the Criminal Record Bureau
(CRB) as a national umbrella company (registration
number 21079700003). |
The
CRB provide detailed information (certificate), access
to this information is via controlled points i.e.
registered bodies. Registered bodies appoint countersignatories
who have requested to visually inspect evidence of
the subjects identity. The subject and the person
checking the identity must sign the CRB application
form. Only then is the form processed by the CRB.
A check takes from two to ten weeks and the responses
are sent to the registered body and the subject,
the CRB offer two types of check:
| Standard
- |
Police
check for criminal conviction.

| Enhanced
- |
Police
check as above plus a check on the Department
of Health register (a list banning certain
people from working with children). Additional
intelligence is also gathered in the in the
enhanced check. |
A
CRB check does not negate the need for reference
checking. |
