This is an exceptional opportunity to work as Aviation Security Manager using your aviation and security management skills knowledge and experience to provide leadership and direction to the security department ensuring compliance with DfT, CAA, HSE. To be successful in this excellent role you will have experience in aviation security with a L3 Managing Security qualification; the ability to lead, develop and motivate the airport security team and manage and deliver the security budget.
The Role: Manage the team within the security department to ensure performance, competence and capabilities are tracked and audited to ensure the security operation remains compliant. To be the point of contact with the CAA and DfT ensuring that effective dialogue and communication is maintained to ensure a common understanding of the airport procedures. To lead, develop and manage the Airport Security and Quality Management Systems to meet DfT requirements. To chair the Risk Advisory Group (RAG) to drive airport security across the site and provide a supporting role to the Safety Executive Group (SEG) Chair. Manage and deliver the Security budget, both cost and revenue; reforecast in line with airport procedures. To develop and deliver the airport security Capital Expenditure programme, writing business cases and supporting papers when required.

Candidate profile: |
The Person: Previous experience in a similar role with 5 year’s relevant experience within an airport security environment, and a L3 Managing Security qualification or the ability to achieve this qualification within 3 months of appointment. Experience of developing and monitoring appropriate KPI’s that enable the effective management of performance, driving both procedural and cultural changes, within a multi-disciplined organisation. Strong leadership people management and verbal and written communication skills Ability to work using own initiative with the skills to report to all levels of the company. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan own work load and human resources in line with the needs of the business and prevailing legislation. Ability to manage financial budgets and report on the same. Confident in acting as the airport’s representative interfacing with AOA, DfT, Control Authorities, and other external organisations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
