Job description: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global financial institution. Part of the Group Chief Security Office, as Vice President for Environment, Health and Safety you will support the Global Lead in ensuring that all Environment, Health and Safety Policies reflect current best practise, are aligned to the requirements of Audit and Regulators, and are compliant with local legislation. You will help coordinate the multi-year budget planning process, liaising with multiple stakeholders to align roles and responsibilities for delivery of EHS across the respective groups.
As the Environment, Health and Safety Global Coordinator you will maintain oversight of a number of administrative elements including but not limited to Policy tracking and management of SharePoint sites. You will be the subject matter expert in Environment, Health and Safety with global exposure to the different legislative expectations for EHS across the globe. You should have exposure to networks into industry forums, governments and/or law enforcement where subjects are in scope.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to, and support the implementation of, the Environment, Health and Safety strategy as set by the Global Lead and related global capital plan, coordinating with Corporate Services and other stakeholders as required
Ensure all EHS policy and standards are current, fit for purpose and published in the correct locations
Assist in the design of specific policies, using subject matter expertise to help the Global Lead roll out appropriate documentation to assist in the protection of staff, contractors, visitors and clients (where applicable)
Work with representatives from Corporate Services to ensure appropriate governance over delivery of EHS through Tier 1 Partners.
Working with the Global Operations Centre team to coordinate the global EHS incident management process, including policy maintenance and testing, and ensuring all entries to the system are correct and educating individuals/groups where required to ensure accurate reporting.
Develop an understanding of the needs and requirements of the organisations businesses and senior management, in order to understand how Corporate Security can better support them.
Promote a strong team culture across all regions in a highly matrixed organisation, internally within the division, among vendor organisations and with stakeholders outside of CSO.
Follow trends in development of EHS management systems, identify and roll-out opportunities to further improve global EHS management system.
Develop and maintain industry networks to ensure the organisation is fully aware of the opportunities available from the market.

Candidate profile: Strong Environment, Health and Safety experience working in large-scale enterprises
Environment, Health and Safety qualifications essential
Experience working in EHS in a multi-tiered matrixed organisation helpful
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Existing knowledge of the corporate environment or similar global organisation preferred
Strong written and verbal English essential
Strong understanding of regulated industries, especially in the financial services arena
