Job description: Our client, a well-established Global market leader of risk management services and technologies is on the lookout for a Global Product Sales Manager to develop and promote products for their Technology Division who manufacture market leading high security solutions.
The ideal candidate will act in a commercial capacity setting the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for the various product lines. The Product Sales Manager will provide deep product expertise together with market analysis and competitive summary laying out a product vision with clear differentiators to deliver unique value based on customer demands. This role will span both strategic and tactical activities and will be cross functional between engineering, marketing, sales and manufacturing.
The Role
Conduct research into selected opportunities in new and existing markets
Prepare research papers that accurately assess growth opportunities, timescales and risks
Investigate opportunities for product convergence and cross selling.
Work with the Marketing department to develop positioning and messaging that articulates and differentiates the product value proposition to target markets.
Work with the Marketing department to support product launches and to develop sales enablement and demand generation tools.
Initiate, develop and manage strategic business accounts and partnerships to ensure the timely and profitable commercialisation of products and technology packages.
Plan, organise, co-ordinate and control select company programs to accomplish approved financial and budgetary goals.
Lead the development and implementation of existing and new market propositions
To gather customer needs and requirements and provide an unambiguous voice of the customer
Identify market potential, provide input to pricing and marketing strategies, estimate potential sales and identify market and sales channels.
Collaborate closely with appropriate colleagues throughout the Group.
Report monthly to the Global Sales & Marketing Director(GSMD) on progress against the annual plans, and sales against the monthly budgets.
Sales opportunities are regularly maintained and kept up to date under the defined opportunity in the companys CRM.
Lead specific external collaborations and partnerships as agreed with the GSMD or other senior management team members.
Set a strategic product vision
Communicate the product road map both internally and externally clearly articulating the business value
Define the release process and coordinating all of the activities required to bring the product to market.
Own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas and determining which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward.
Communicate the status of ideas back to the customers, partners, and internal team members who submitted them. The product manager will prioritise features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives.
Work closely with the engineering department to define the requirements for each feature and the desired user experience.
Candidate profile: Graduate qualification, ideally in a technology or sales discipline
At least 7-10 years experience occupying a similar product manager position in the security industry
Strong leadership capabilities coupled with strategic development acumen andcustomer service skills and ethos.
Great interpersonal skills and experience of developing effective, long-lasting client relationships
Exceptional communications skills with an excellent command of English.
Additional language skills are a benefit
Preferably an existing network of consultants, installers and integrators.
Strong research and analytical skills able to work both quickly and accurately.

The Role
Develop regional sales and marketing plans consistent with the firms strategy and annual budget objectives

Implement local sales, marketing and activities and recruitment plans as defined in the annual budgets

Sales opportunities are regularly maintained and kept up to date including quotations uploaded under the defined opportunity in the companys CRM
Apply a risk management process to identify and address risks (including strategic, operational and financial risks) with appropriate management
Assist with identifying strategic alliances and other business ventures
Lead specific external collaborations and partnerships as agreed with the GSMD or other senior management team members
Define and work with the COO to obtain and maintain product certifications required by the marketplace .
Candidate profile: Graduate qualification, ideally in a technology or sales discipline
At least 10 years experience occupying a business development and sales role, coupled with a proven track record of achieving targets in a sales / business development role in a global environment, ideally in the technology or service sector.
Previous experience in the security sector, PIDS and access control experience is desirable
Strong leadership capabilities coupled with strategic business development acumen and customerservice skills and ethos.
Exceptional communications skills with an excellent command of English (fluent).

Candidate profile: Basic Qualifications:

Ability to relate to people at all levels and to communicate both on a technical and non-technical basis. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct personnel toward achievement of a common goal. Proven track record in the management of a multifunctional sales operation. Excellent negotiation verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with customers vendors and employees.

Ideally, educated to Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or Marketing although not essential, or equivalent experience
