maintain resilience standards (Safety & Security) within the Justice & Immigration Business Unit in accordance with corporate, contractual and regulatory requirements.
In this significant role the Head of Resilience will be responsible for protecting and preserving J&I assets and resources from security and safety-related threats that impact individuals, business activities and the company reputation. The Head of Resilience is responsible for providing advice, guidance and assurance that effective resilience management (Safety & Security) is in place across all (J&I) contracts.

The Role:
To provide the leadership, direction and oversight across the J&I BU to ensure senior leaders, contract staff and support functions support, understand and adopt corporate, contractual and regulatory requirements relating to operational resilience.
To lead a team of HS&E and Security professionals in line with the MyHR operating model, developing resilience, talent and succession.
To direct and oversee risk-based H,S&E &Security activities in order to bring about and maintain Organisational Resilience within the J&I BU.
To provide timely, accurate and competent resilience advice necessary to support the effective, efficient delivery of current and future J&I business outputs.
To provide the J&I BU SMT with HS&E & Security reports, statistics data and advice in order to inform decision-making.
To direct, oversee and advise upon on appropriate measures necessary to manage strategic and operational resilience (safety & security) risks. To include:
The evaluation of the BU/Contract exposure to current/future security threats.
The implementation of appropriate, effective risk mitigation measures.
The interpretation and implementation of corporate, regulatory and legal policies.

Candidate profile: The Person:
The successful candidate will have recent (proven) managerial, leadership experience working in a senior Health & Safety or Organisational Resilience role, with either a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification and be Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) or equivalent.
A complete appreciation of the risks and regulatory requirements which exist across the J&I sector.
The proven ability to communicate and influence senior leaders and managers in order to plan and deliver a high quality resilience service.
People Management Evidence of a proven ability manage and lead a team of managers and/or specialists.
Influencing Personal Impact - Ability to influence, command respect and gain commitment of others.
Forward Thinking Proven ability to make choices and judgements based upon strategic objectives.
