Fire Alarm commissioning Engineer

SSR Personnel are helping this well respected International Fire, Security and Smart Building systems Installer recruit a Commissioning Engineer to be based in the London area (ideally in South West London) to commission fire alarms systems and help with the delivery medium to large installation projects. Applicants will needs a flexible attitude to working as there will be late and night shifts, as well as some weekend work, which will be well compensated for in the OTE (time and a half/double time).

Main responsibilities:

Commissioning and demonstrating of Medium to Large Integrated Life Safety Systems including Fire Alarm, PAVA, Graphics PC’s, EVC and Disabled Alarms
Good working knowledge of BS 5839
Completion of clear & accurate work reports and commissioning certificates.
Provide a high level of customer service to clients.
Providing pre-sales support to our sales and service teams
Successfully delivering complex integrated life safety systems.
Supporting the project manager and commercial team to deliver.

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

Significant experience working in the Fire industry.
Experience in the delivery of larger complex fire & life safety systems on new/existing sites.
Good working knowledge of a variety of manufacturer's equipment/Systems.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Highly motivated, self-starter with good people management skills.
Sound problem solving skills and analytical thinking.
Time management skills.
A full clean driver's license.
A good knowledge of networking and IT skills.
Good communication skills, outgoing & customer orientated.

This excellent opportunity to work for a top quality a manufacturer and installer comes with a basic salary of £40,000 plus car and package. An OTE of £60,000 with overtime and shift work is expected.
