Service / Maintenance Engineer - Security Systems
The Security Service & Maintenance Engineer role involves full responsibility for completing preventative, reactive and remedial works across a wide variety of domestic and commercial properties to a professional standard of work.
To demonstrate a competent knowledge of servicing and maintenance of multi-discipline Security Systems.
Carry out small repairs on domestic and commercial properties.
Completing Asset logs of equipment on site.
To manage your own workload throughout the day and ensuring the completion of each job in a timely manner.
Communicating and reporting to the office on a daily basis.
Working hours 8am - 5pm. Callout 1 in 5, paid standby.
An understanding of Basic Networking skills and IP knowledge required.
An understanding and ability to carry out a preventative maintenance to the current standards.
An awareness and to demonstrate excellent customer facing skills.
Preferred – Commercial/Residential Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, Intercom experience and training in (most of) the following systems:
Paxton 10 IP cloud-based systems.
Paxton Net 2 Ip based / networked systems.
IP Based and Networked digital Video Door Entry systems
Comelit ViP Comelit Simplebus / Simple Bus ToP
Fermax IP / Fermax Duox
HIKVISION IP systems and Analytics / HIKVISION Central / HIKVISION TVI
DAHUA IP Systems and Analytics
Samsung IP systems
Pelco Ip systems and Protocol’s
Texecom / double pole / end of line / IP / Signaling devices / Wintec Software.
Personal Requirements for the role
Possess a Clean driving licence where a company vehicle is part of the roles package.
Possess a clear record with zero criminal convictions of any kind and meet with the requirements to pass a CRB /DBS check and the full screening process required in the security industry.
Be prepared to travel as part of the role responsibilities.
Be personable and able to communicate professionally at all levels.
Be hard working, diligent and efficient.
Be able to work under pressure being flexible and adaptive to situations.
Be well organised and maintain excellent time management in both personal punctuality and delivery of work.
Be able to work as well in a team or independently.
Be self-motivated, and both technically and logically adept at problem solving.
ECS Card or higher
UK driving licence or recognised foreign Licence.
Negotiable salary dependent on skillset and experience
Available overtime at time and a half of hourly rate
20 days leave excluding bank holidays with time served holiday entitlement added.
