This national fire and life safety systems installer and looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to lead their post order Design Engineering team, working closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers, and other Engineering staff to manage and deliver accurate and comprehensive Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems Designs for large and complex, major projects. This role is remote working from home covering the UK, but some National travel will be required for site visits and some meetings based at their offices. Applicants for this role will need experience working in the fire alarm industry in design, a technical understanding of fire alarm systems and associated equipment, with a proven ability to professionally document, illustrate and present detailed fire alarm systems designs, with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards, including BS 5839, BS6266, BS7671 and BS7273. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation/drawings/calculations are produced/recorded and reported in line with company standards, ensuring designs are carried out in line with established company procedure, compliant with codes of practice, and that satisfy the requirements of BAFE SP203 and LPS1014.
