The Role
As the senior security adviser you will manage all physical security programmes through review, delivery and ownership of policies, procedures and performance of this major entertainment venue.
Responsible as the strategic lead, you will maintain extensive liaison with multiple agencies to keep a constant level of alertness of risk to public safety and venues and ensure proportionate action is taken to protect people and assets and uphold an unrivalled visitor experience. Working in collaboration with senior colleagues, contractor’s and external stakeholders to ensure processes to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities are robust, agreed and well communicated. Understand CCTV management and monitoring, you will be able to consider new technologies and brief senior managers on improved capabilities and outputs.
Managing a programme of continuous improvement, audit delivery and value. You will uphold and promote the core principles of the organisation; manage security feedback and learning sessions across the business, communicate capability and performance to stakeholders.

The Person
Recent experience of working with major venue / sporting operators, a distinct advantage.
Experience of managing a venue with high footfall and/or an iconic brand.
Experienced in crime prevention, criminal investigations, and crime detection.
Flexible approach to working hours as required to be in attendance on event days.
Current working relationships within government, law enforcement and specialist agencies (local government and community business groups, an advantage).
Experienced in designing and delivering training programmes.
Committed to personal development with a record in mentoring colleagues.
Experience in auditing and managing continuous improvement programmes.
Experienced in budgetary management, presenting cost efficiency's and ROI.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and factual reports.
Understanding of the Equality Act in relation to discrimination and disability.
Understanding GDPR as it relates to the security role.

Preferred education / certification
• Business Degree
• Security Management diploma
• Chartered Security Professional (CSyP)
