Project Engineer

Based Paris with an exceptional package to attract and retain talented people.
French speaker, conversational English is desirable. Right to work in the EU.
Our client is a growing global business with significant project wins as they build a European hub. The right person has transitioned from an Installation Engineer who has technical/field experience that has already progressed and transitioned into Project Management. Manages projects from point of handover from a sales team right the way through to sign off with a client.

The Role

You would liaise with clients on behalf of the company, liaise with internal sales and installation contractors to deliver exceptional work delivered within budget. Manage all variations with the end user and ensure these are signed off. You will have the ability to undertake;

Project planning:
Client facing / liaison / planning skills
Completing / documenting site surveys
Coordinating design information
Liaising with the sales and design team
Creating work schedules / programmes
Taking ownership of all Health and Safety Requirements (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Liaising with Sub-Contractors to obtain pricing / plan works
Liaising with Ops manager for commercial management of project
Ordering of materials
On site works:
Plan installation
Organise access / permits
Liaison with client
Manage schedule
Raise risks and early warning notices
Manage changes to scope / pricing
Liaise with client/contractors
Manage construction elements – submittals / inspections etc
Attend meetings
Quality control checks
Plan commissioning
Commissioning & Technical works:
Organise Commissioning
Assign IP addresses
Engage technical support teams
Test and commission the systems
Train the customer
Handover the system
Sign off and engage design team to complete O&M’s
The Person
Native language speaker (for country recruiting in)
English speaker
Must have at least 5 years of experience in security systems
Access Control Systems (ideally enterprise grade)
CCTV (ideally enterprise grade)
Intercoms (ideally enterprise grade)
IP Networks (basic understanding of fibre, category 6, network switches etc.)
Interpersonal skills – ability to take instructions and work within a small team
Positive mental attitude – team player – passion for growing the business and impressing clients
Customer service skills
Connected in local market – knows sub-contractors, suppliers, logistics etc.
Potential leadership skills – takes ownership, eye for details, looks to improve and aims high
