Project Manager – Fire & Security systems working in the City and Central London
SSR Personnel is recruiting a Project Manager experienced in enterprise fire & security systems. Salary is dependent on systems experience , benefits include estate car with fuel card and an Oyster card , company credit card, an annual allowance of £3000 to offset travel to work hours. The Role
• Ascertaining viability of design and liaising with designers and contractors to amend any shortfalls
• Ascertaining requirements and resources for projects
• Creating and submitting site specific risk and method statements
• Attend specialist sub-contractor site meetings when required
• Provide support for customers, engineers and general problem solving. (This may involve the candidate being enrolled in additional training where required)
• Ordering of equipment and labour requirements in a timely manner through well managed control process (SimPRO)
• Forecasting installation and commissioning workload – commissioning small works to be completed independently wherever possible
• Assembling and maintaining of customer files (hard and soft copies as appropriate)
• Compile and make up all O&M information for handover including certification documentation
• Developing risk and method statements for commissioned systems
• Working on multiple jobs and verifying the schedule for projects. Coordinating with engineering and sales to ensure projects will be completed within the assigned time frame
• Being responsible for collecting all information regarding new projects including drawings, cause and effect, deviations, pricing variations etc.
• Be fully aware of Health & Safety Responsibilities and current Legislation. Actively encourage safe work practices
• Being responsible for ensuring fire alarm projects comply to BS5839;1; 2017
• Procuring and value engineering projects wherever possible to increase GP
• Administration of all relevant engineering paperwork
• Supervision of on-site supervisors and ensuring that project engineers are trained accordingly
