The Company
Our client is a market leader in their business sector with a global footprint, they seek a Security Manager designate to be responsible for the management, securing and safeguarding of the company’s assets, it’s people, property and information within one specific geographic area.
In this exciting role the successful candidate will manage Security Risk Management; Operations Management/ Incident Management/ Information Management.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop within Security Risk Management arena for a global business.

Shift pattern for this role is: 4 days on 4 days off – 2 days days, 2 days nights.

The Role
Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, property, information, employees, guests, or others on company property.
Produce or review security-related documents, security policy, security procedures and standards, incident reporting, proposals, and tactical or strategic initiatives.
Manage budgets for security operations and review financial cost to ensure effectiveness and quality of security services provided.
Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders and become a valued partner and value adding.
Supervise subordinate security professionals, perform activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance and or disciplining.
Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
Operational security plan for Site including emergency preparedness resilience and contingency planning.
Management of Senior leadership executive protection program including expat security program and housing security management.

The Person
Previous experience working within the Security Risk Management or Corporate Security sector.
Knowledge of Principles of Security Risk Management methodology and practice including
Access Control Systems/ CCTV/Utilisation of Drones.
In-depth understanding of laws regarding physical security officers and required training.
Working knowledge of Online Intelligence.
Thorough understanding of the country’s criminal law, law of evidence and the judicial system
Experience with management of personnel protection and information Security.
Security experience in Africa and/or Internationally.
Experience in Industrial Espionage/Intelligence/syndicated crime in the mining sector
with knowledge of White-Collar Crime.
Ability to conduct risk/threat assessments and develop measures to mitigate identified risks.
Ability to develop disaster preparedness plans and test implemented plans.
Accredited SA or International Security Certification / Member of professional security organization (ASIS.SAIS), an advantage.
