Our client are a well-established, fast growing, top 40 professional security services provider. They have a reputation for providing quality security services to their clientele, in the commercial premisses, retail and corporate sectors. They provide a bespoke all-inclusive fully accredited security solution including manned guarding, mobile security and a technical security.

They seek an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales activities across the Yorkshire region, from lead generation through to close. In this exciting role you will provide customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with the company’s vision, values, and growth plans. The successful individual will be supported by a dynamic management team and have the opportunity to increase the sales value of the business through their own strategies and convictions.

The Role:

  • Identify new leads for business development within manned guarding, retail security and corporate security sectors.
  • Generate new business leads and meetings with potential clients.
  • Promote the company brand and build relationships with new and key accounts.
  • Produce and develop bid documents in conjunction with the Directors.
  • Produce and develop costings in conjunction with the Directors.
  • Produce and present winning proposals at client sites.
  • Negotiate new business with key stakeholders.
  • Develop existing client relationships, including all-inclusive security solution
  • to support client requirements.
  • This role is hybrid, with two office locations in Yorkshire that can be utilised as required with homeworking an option.
The Person:
  • Previous experience working as a Business Development Manager providing either technical or physical security services in the manned guarding, retail security or corporate security sector is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be fiercely ambitious with the drive and determination to become a Sales Director with all the financial benefits and kudos this role provides.
  • Proven experience in security business development with an in-depth understanding of the security industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstratable advanced relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven success in achieving targets, enhancing systems and processes with the ability to work using own initiative.
  • The ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks and deliver growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
