Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced project engineer to join our team and hit the ground running with a view to being a long-term employee and grow with the business.

Role:
• Lead Engineer focusing mainly on UK projects operating under a project manager
• Opportunities to work on international projects
• Run the project within your own capabilities

• A small part of the role will be servicing our existing systems which are usually large integrated systems in residential properties, but we also have several smaller systems.
• At times, there will be a requirement to attend sites for fault finding and service calls.
• At times, there will be a requirement for you to be office based for paperwork, stock take etc.
• Due to the nature of our projects the workload can vary massively so there are busy periods, along with quiet periods.
• The initial work ratio would be:
o Onsite Install: 60%
o Fault/Service: 20%
o Office Based: 20%
• Be part of the on-call rota which currently works 1-5 weeks, but we would class it as very low activity.
o Average phone calls per week: 5
o Average site attendance per year: 4


Responsibilities:
• You will be assigned a project and will be responsible for;
o Co-ordinating with other trades on site
o Installation of all security equipment
o Commissioning of systems
o Maintaining standards of work
o Onsite documentation being completed and signing off “As Fitted” documents

▪ Commission Paperwork
▪ Handover and Sign off sheets
▪ Drawings
o for the workmanship and time management of any Sensory sub-contractor, engineer or apprentice working on the same project
o Bringing Systems online and operating ahead of final commissioning on larger projects
▪ IP Addressing
▪ Data Line Configuration
▪ Zone Text
▪ Etc.
o Commissioning of smaller systems when required
o Project Reporting
▪ Equipment
▪ Labour
▪ Schedule
• Attend project meetings with/without the project manager
• Liaise with clients where required
• Managing equipment requests
• Working within project NDA
• Attend (via Teams/Zoom ect) weekly meetings to discuss projects with the team
• Giving guidance and teaching a good work ethic to those working under you
