This national fire detection systems installer and service provider is looking to recruit a service and commissioning engineer to be based in the Northeast of England (Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesborough, North Yorks). Candidates will need to have good practical experience with the service and fault-finding on a variety of fire alarm systems, PAVA, emergency lighting and nurse call systems, being able to work unsupervised. Ideally, candidates will be able to do some commission of systems as well. Reporting to the service manager the successful applicant will be the first point of contact with customers so excellent communication skills are a must. Applicants will need to have a good understanding of BS 5839 and ideally hold FIA certification or similar, a CSCS card is a requirement. This position comes with a basic salary to £35,000 (negotiable) plus car or allowance, call out, overtime and package. The successful applicant should earn (c) £45,000 or more.
