As Building / Security Systems Engineer you will provide technical support for the building systems (BS), including fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair/replacement of electronic security equipment as well as planned maintenance and computer software administration on all building systems, comprising:

  • Building Management System (BMS)
  • PowerLogic System
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Lighting Control
  • Smoke Control System
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Water Management System
  • Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
  • Access Control Systems
  • Various computer networks, servers and computers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for new technologies and experience in the following areas:
 
Security systems
  • Experience of maintaining, configuration and commissioning of CCTV and access control systems, including Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) and Internet Protocol (IP) cameras.
  • Setup and configuration of Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems.
  • Maintenance and fault finding on car park barriers e.g. FAAC.
  • Experience with various electronic locking systems, including: ASSA Abloy, Winkhaus & Shearlocks.
               
Computer systems / Networks

It would be also be an advantage if you had:
  • Experience of Siemens Siport and TDSi access control software, as is experience of C, C++, C#, Python & Java software programming. 
    SQL server and programming knowledge.
  • Server configuration and maintenance knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and electronic faults 
  • Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment.
  • Experience of the configuration, installation, commissioning of serial 485 communications networks.
  • Experience of working with and fault finding on fibre optic transmission hardware.
  • Ability to plan, design and implement network topology.
