The Company
Our client is a market leader in their business sector with a global footprint, they seek a Principle Advisor Risk and Reporting to be responsible for providing verified information to support timely business decisions related to security risks. The Principle Advisor Risk and Reporting sits on the security leadership team and reports to the Head of Security. Using a variety of sources provides insights to support tactical decision-making and strategic analysis to inform business decisions.

The Role

  • 12-Month Fixed Term Contract, 4 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.
  • To collect, confirm, analyze and interpret information regarding security risks.
  • Write concise reports that cover security developments in Guinea and the wider Africa region that may have an impact on the business.
  • Establish an extensive network of information sources with industry, society, NGOs and government.
  • Provide threat warning notifications to the company as directed by the security department.
  • Maintain accurate and geolocated security incident data.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of political and tribal dynamics in Guinea.
  • Work in collaboration with the CSP to validate the information.
  • Perform an in-depth analysis of a specific interest as directed by security managers and the director.
  • Maintain the country and site risk assessments in Company ‘Archer’ system.
  • Monitor security trends to provide leading and lagging indicators to the Head of Security to permit adjustment to security posture.
  • Deployment and management of a team of four local intelligence analysts.
The Person
  • Previous experience in a similar role working as an advisor risk and reporting.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in information and analysis in the commercial sector.
  • Report writing and presentation to senior level stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in military or police intelligence units beneficial.
  • Fluent in English and French an advantage.
  • Experience working in West Africa essential.
  • Criminal background checks required.
  • Experience in managing data collection, integration and maintenance as well as in database development required.
  • A solid understanding and experience of mining or construction operations beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret GIS and environmental/social data.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports in English and preferably French.
  • Experience Microsoft office suite, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to plan and organize, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization, method, good presentation, initiative, and autonomy.
  • Previous experience of the Federal Response system preferred.
