Security Manager – Planning, Mobilisation & Assurance
to £90k + Benefits
12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Hammersmith, London

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead critical planning, mobilisation, and assurance activities across one of the UK’s most iconic event venues during a pivotal operational phase. This hands-on role ensures security standards are implemented effectively, providing confidence and assurance to both clients and stakeholders. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, oversee service partner outputs, and deliver high-quality operational documentation, enabling the Head of Security to focus on strategy, governance, and senior stakeholder engagement.

The Role:
Security Planning & Documentation
  • Reporting to the Head of Security, you will lead the creation, refinement, and quality assurance of client-side Security Standards, SOPs, protocols, and operational guidance.
  • Ensure alignment between service partners’ emergency procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Integrate documentation with landlord, tenant, and event operations to maintain seamless security compliance
Project & Workstream Leadership
  • Drive planning and mobilisation projects from initiation to completion, coordinating inputs across Operations, M&E, Logistics, Cleaning, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear timelines, action trackers, and risk logs, escalating key decisions to the Head of Security.
Desktop Exercises & Validation
  • Design and facilitate desktop/tabletop exercises, capturing lessons learned and embedding improvements into operational practice.
  • Produce actionable improvement plans and track completion to ensure continuous operational readiness.
Service Partner & Contractor Assurance
  • Provide client-side oversight of security service partner mobilisation activities.
  • Review and quality-assure contractor and consultant outputs, ensuring consistency with company standards and operational intent.
  • Constructively challenge outputs where necessary to meet agreed standards.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Represent the security function in operational planning forums.
  • Engage with occupiers and their service providers to ensure integrated, proportionate, and consistent security delivery.
  • Escalate policy or strategic matters to the Head of Security when required.
The Person:
Essential:
  • Experience in complex, high-footfall environments such as live entertainment events venues, retail centres, mixed-use estates, or large-scale public venues.
  • Proven ability to write and review SOPs, emergency procedures, and security protocols.
  • Experience leading defined projects or workstreams.
  • Strong experience designing and facilitating desktop/tabletop exercises.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to operate independently within delegated authority.
Desirable:
  • Experience in live entertainment, events, or public-facing venues.
  • Background in mobilisation or transition into live operations.
  • Relevant security, resilience, or emergency planning qualifications.
Role Context
  • Strategic direction, policy ownership, and senior stakeholder engagement remain with the Head of Security.
  • The role focuses on delivery and assurance within delegated authority; it is not a strategic leadership position.
Apply if you are ready to turn strategy into action and be at the heart of the UK’s
most iconic event venues operational success.
