The National Gallery is seeking an experienced, proactive Gallery Security Services Manager to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for visitors, colleagues, contractors and its world-class collection.

The role
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Fire Risk Manager, you will support security operations across the Gallery. You will oversee contracted security providers, maintain specialist security systems, support incident management and investigations, and help drive continuous improvement in security policies, procedures and standards.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors, emergency services and external stakeholders, you will help ensure the Gallery remains compliant with relevant requirements while delivering an exceptional visitor experience.

The person
You will be a confident, professional security manager with experience in a complex, public-facing environment. The role operates on a seven-day rota, including weekend working and occasional out-of-hours support as operational needs require.
